Ulanbaataar Mongolia to Irkutsk Russia aboard train 263
October 8-9

One thing I should have mentioned was that on our way to the train station in Mongolia we saw someone get hit by car. Not bad - she was ok thank god, but we were only just saying that it was a miracle no one gets hit in that city, and ‘thud’ it happened only 5 meters from where we were standing!

Anyways, late that night we boarded the train to Russia…it was much the same as the last train ride, not as luxurious as the previous train (it was also no where near as expensive), but it was still comfortable. 36 hours on board wasn’t too bad at all. Time to relax, gain a new addiction to candy crush and realize that I can hold onto a pee for more then 3 hours due to delays at the Mongolian boarder (besides that rather uncomfortable inconvenience), the border crossing into Russia was smooth and we watched a lovely sunset from the view of our cabin.
